Founded in 1985 the Irish Film Orchestra offers the most competitive overall rates and terms and conditions in Europe.

The company also provides music and orchestral services to the internationally renowned Wexford Festival Opera.

Caitriona Walsh


Caitriona Walsh was General Manager of UK Orchestras Ltd and of The London Chamber Orchestra from 1985 to 1992, during which time she was responsible for a significant portfolio of award winning recordings, international tours, television and concert appearances.


In 1992 Caitriona moved to Ireland and quickly established Irish Film Orchestras as the country’s leading employer of free-lance Musicians, attracting many new international clients to the country. In 2006 she was appointed general manager of The Wexford Festival Opera Orchestra. Wexford is Ireland’s longest established (over 60 years) and only internationally acclaimed Opera Festival.

Caitriona’s musical career began as a member of the 70’s and 80’s chart topping super-group ‘The New Seekers’. She was also a much in demand session singer, both in London and Dublin.
